an illustration of a room in the home of famous queer author/write, Sarah Orne Jewett, in Maine. i recently learned of this really awesome women and her partner and you can visit their home in Maine, not too far from Salem. in a time where being in a queer relationship or even openly gay was definitely no the norm, they defide all odds. here's a small piece of her story to take home with you.
